Jacqueline Hannah is a cooperative web weaver, bringing together people, ideas, and solid business skills to get things done. Her passion is rebuilding strong human connections, re-empowering people and communities to work together to take control of their common economic future through cooperation. She will jump at any chance to build more cooperation or help fellow cooperators. She exudes a boundless energy and enthusiasm for creating a better world.
Jacqueline spent nine years as the General Manager at Common Ground Food Co-op, in Urbana, IL. A small, church-basement co-op when she joined it in 2006, she led it through a relocation and expansion in 2008 and a second highly successful expansion in 2012. Common Ground went from less than half a million in sales to $9 million in sales annually under her leadership and is now in the process of opening a second store.
In the spring of 2015, having won multiple awards and led her co-op to being the fastest growing food co-op in the nation for five years running, Jacqueline took on her dream cooperative role as Food Co-op Development Specialist for Food Co-op Initiative, a cooperative development organization that aims to increase the number, success and sustainability of new food cooperatives delivering access to healthy food in diverse communities across this country.
